NHL UPDATE

Well, once again empty hope for the 2012-13 NHL season as games are nixed through November 1st.

ESPN – It is the second round of game cancellations since the lockout went into effect Sept. 19. Earlier this month, the NHL eliminated the first block of regular-season contests through Oct. 24. A total of 135 games are canceled, which amounts to 11 percent of the season.

“As expected,” New York Rangers goalie Martin Biron told The Associated Press in a text message. “We continue to work hard to find an agreement and get back to playing hockey.”

Also, these games are not necessarily lost yet.. they are technically postponed while the possibility to squeeze 82 games into the season still exists it is highly unlikely.

All I know is my fantasy football team has been better than ever strictly because i haven’t lost concentration in October like most years before… Thank you NHL.

Are We Over The NHL?

It sure seems like we are over the NHL, if not.. we are well into the pathway there.  At this time, NHL training camps are supposed to begin bringing back players from all over the world to their in season homes. As a fan its almost as if the 3rd time is a charm rule comes into play. Lock us out once okay 2nd time a whole season was rough however, we bounced back… but this third time … fuck it, why bother let the NHL fade, we’ll stick to our ponds and rinks and NHL 13. At this point we are just sick of the dramatics. I understand both sides are there to do a job and fight for what belongs to them which when put like that does not seem to lead to a satisfactory outcome.

With Sweden opening its doors to NHL athletes as well as many other countries its hard to see athletes who play in the NHL wouldn’t travel abroad mostly back to their home countries. The countdown has begun to when the lockout will end but when it does end will it be too late. A Grimm outlook to have but the NHL’s future is not looking too bright.

Bieber going to the Show

..and by The Show I mean denying a bogus ECHL contract which has no hope of coming to fruition. There is 0% chance Justin Bieber signs any kind of contract or tries out with an ECHL team. He doesnt possess the talent and aside from that.. as a business it would be the worst decision bieber industries ever makes. The way I see it some player on the condors made a joke to press or they have a crafty PR person who wants to draw a little attention the the team. Round of applause because it worked. but this will be overlooked like anything else. should have done it a little closer to the season opener.
