Lock City: Money May Goes Heavy on Michigan

Miggles – This idiot is at again, betting 3 million on Michigan +14 against Alabama tomorrow night.   I’d like to say he knows what hes doing when he makes these bets, but I truly think hes doing this one to prove a point.  “Hey look at me I was in jail, I came out richer than ever and Im still relevant”.  Ill give him that, he is still relevant, but I also will give him his first week in jail when his lawyers were begging he be let home because the food and lack of excersise was ruining him as a boxer.  (You beat your wife you get bad food sucka).  Now back to him being an idiot…  Last time he did this he put a million on the Broncos to lose the AFC championship, the idiot hit it.  THEN he takes those winnings and puts 1.9 million on a regular season Clippers game, moran hit that too!  So I guessss we can say hes playing with the houses money on this one, BUT again I guarntee he does not have one clear reason why he likes Michigan in this game +14, and rumor has it he was leaning towards Bama before even making the bet. 69% of the bets placed in vegas on this game so far are taking Bama, I cant say one way or another cause it is a lot of points, but what I do know is I dont have to lay a penny on this game now, cause Money Moran gave me all the action I needed. Roll Tide!!!!  You see humans are a funny species we want the favorite to fall we want the arogant to look silly and Idiot formally know as Floyd Mayweather is both of those every single day of his life.  This may be the first and only time that the house is the underdog.  Oh and the last time you see me routing for them.

Miggles Pick – Please Alabama lay the wood to Money Mays bank account.

Fun fact he had to lay it across 9 different sports books to cover the 3 mill.

Lock City: Wister Miggles College Pick of the Day

NC State (0-0) vs. Tennessee (0-0)

Miggles – Tennessee returns 17 starters including QB Tyler Bray. They are also going to have to be without standout Da’Rick Rogers do to suspension. I actually dont think this causes too much concern for them has they still have a very good WR core with Justin Hunter and transfer Coradelle Patterson, both of which can handle the load lost by Rogers. NC State rests much of its hopes in the hands of Mike Glennon who by no means is a slouch. They are however returning with the same dismall run game they had a year ago, placing added presure on Glennon. State is also returning the NCAA leading 27 interception secondary, which will pose problems for pretty much any team they face. I do believe though that the SEC is just too much for State and it will come down to the unteachables of speed and strength. Im taking the Vol’s in a lower then expected scoring affiar.

Miggles Pick Tennessee – 3

How Juice, Bonds, McGuire and Sosa changed Baseball as we know it forever

Barry Bonds entered Major League Baseball in 1986 at a minuscule 184 pounds.  He subsequently retired from baseball in 2007 at a whopping 240 pounds.  Not only did his weight sky rocket, his hat size even changed.  He was a 7 1/4 in 1986, his last year in the league his hat size was an 8!! Now you don’t have to be an expert on pretty much anything to know that if you gain 60 lbs and your hat size increases…somethings up.  Barry contends that “he didn’t knowingly take steroids” Even though he gained a 6th graders weight of pure muscle!?!?!  The worst part about all of this is the baseball community and its fans celebrated all of his and McGuire and Sosa’s triumphs.  My personal thought is,  the powers that be turned a purposeful blind eye to all of this, because of what this was doing for the sport.  Before all of this, ratings were down, profits were down and many teams were running in the red.  Juice the players juices the numbers juices the profits.  I truly think that Major League Baseball execs were pissed off that this became and issue and had to pretend they were doing something about it.  Only until recently have they made these testings mandatory and spontaneous.  When they did their first round of “clean up” they were announcing tests weeks in advance to the “random” player.

Bottom Line – Bonds juiced to the MAX.  McGuire juiced to the MAX.  Sammy Sosa juiced to the….I think you get.

Now you say well who cares it makes the games more exciting and they can do what they want to their bodies.  All of which I AGREE!!!  Lets send these monsters on the field and let shit get weird, I can guarantee ratings will go through the roof!!

There is the issue of allllll of the incredible baseball players of the past, Ruth, Aaron, May, Williams, Dimaggio.  All played by the “rules”  I say their records hold firm and we start a new book, cause if we mingle the records like we are its a complete and utter travesty.

Wister Miggles College Pick of the Night

8-4 Washington State Cougars and 10-3 Brigham Young Cougars begin their college football seasons on ESPN in Utah. Experienced BYU returns 7 starters on offense and 7 starters on defense.  Washington State only won 4 games last year and I don’t see this year being any different.  BYU won 10 games last year and is looking for a bowl birth this year.  BYU has to play Boise State, Hawaii, Utah, Utah State, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech this year.  This leaves them very little opportunity and makes games like this EXTREMELY important.  I look for them to make a point tonight and lay it on WSU.

Miggles pick BYU -11.5

Madden Dumps Chad

To the normal person, if the worst part of your day is you realizing you’re no longer in Madden you had an ok day.  Unfortunately for #85 he is not a normal person, so I’m banking on he’s devastated.  He may be out of Madden, but I have a feeling he’s not out of the limelight.  His career has legs (pun intended) beyond football and Im sure we’ll being hearing from him for a long time to come.

Chad Johnson

Hufff Post – For the time being, Chad Johnson (formerly known as Ochocinco… after previously being known as Johnson) does not belong to an NFL team. Therefore, The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver couldn’t find himself in the Madden 2013 video game.

Johnson, who was recently cut by the Miami Dolphins following his arrest fordomestic violence against his wife, realized this on Wednesday afternoon and reacted on Twitter.

Wister Miggles BCS Championship Prediction

Florida State (15-1)– With all their speed and having one of the top recruiting classes I dont hate this pick with these odds.

Oregon (12-1)– They lose LaMichael James, but still have a ton of talent.  If they can get through USC once or even better twice they are definitely a strong contender.

Oklahoma (10-1)Landry Jones is back, but no Broyles makes this one a tough pick for me at this price.

Alabama (5-1)- Losing your team to the NFL makes it tough to go back to back.

LSU (4-1)-I think Les Miles and LSU were exposed last year and without the Honey Badger I hate these odds.

USC (4-1)-If you have Matt Barkley you have a chance.  I know the price is high, but hey if its the winner its the winner.  I like USC this year.

Wister Miggles pick is USC

My semi long shot is Florida State.

Wister Miggles Super Bowl Prediction

Wister Miggles Super Bowl Prediction

The Philadelphia Eagles

Coming of a great off season, a decent draft and returning all of their star players (which there are a lot) They finally seem poised to make a legitimate run at it. They field a pro bowl secondary, the #1 D line in the league and have added Demeco Ryans to sure up the middle on defense. Offense is still completely in tact with a healthy Michael Vick, a happy Desean Jackson and another healthy Jeremy Maclin. Not to mention debatably the best running back in the league Shady Mccoy. With all that D and all that punch on offense I was shocked to see their super bowl odds up to 10-1. Lay $100 on these guys and get a surprise $1000 at the end of the season. Youll thank me later 🙂

Rhi Rhi and Chris Brown back together again??

Sooooo apparently Rihanna and Chris Brown will be performing together at this years upcoming MTV Video Music Awards??  So if I have this right, Rihanna initially wanted to send a message to her fans, especially young females, that you need to speak up and get away from an abusive relationship.  She failed to mention that after 4 years its ok to forgive them and get back together with them.  To all you woman beaters out there…dont give up the good “fight” theres still hope for you yet!!!   Hey Rhi Rhi let me be the first to say I told you so.  I told you so…   Wister Miggles

In your Dreams Team

2012 Olympic Team vs. “The Dream Team

This has been up for debate for some time now.  I actually hate debating things that cannot technically be proven, but this one was just too juicy to leave alone, especially since many of the people are leaning on the wrong side of the debate.  Lets start with “The Dream Team”; Of course Michael Jordan is everyone’s first point in their debate.  I get he changed the sport, I get he was ahead of his time, what people seem to forget though that just like humans, sports evolve.  Yes he evolved faster than some back then, but as you can see today the sport has changed.  Lets just say if a 6 ft 9’ 275 lb Lebron James was playing back in 1992 he would have been head and shoulders (literally) above Michael Jordan.  The next point “Dream Teamers” like to bring up is the height difference and the discrepancy in big men.  I agree this could be an issue for the 2012 team to overcome, but tell me how “The Dream Team” with all its height are gonna guard a 7ft guard the likes of Kevin Durant?   “Dream Team” loyalists like to bring up Magic and Bird.  This one’s easy for me, Magic was in his 2nd year of his “HIV” and Bird could barely stand cause of his back issues.  Finally, “Dream Teamers” love pointing out their margin of victory.  This one is so warped as the world was just catching on to the sport at the time and weren’t nearly at the level they are at now.  At no point did “The Dream Team” play the likes of  Manu Ginobli and Serge Ibaka.  The bottom line, like I referred to earlier, is the sport and humans have evolved.  You take the best defender Scottie Pippen and put him on Lebron, that still leaves Kobe, Durant, Westbrook, Anthony, Paul, and on and on, all of which are faster and stronger than their counterparts on “The Dream Team”.  2012 Olympic win a close hard fought game, but the 92’ boys are just no match for the speed, power and athleticism of what the world has to offer today.

2012 Olympic Team 112 – “Dream Team 98

Oh and Mike Tyson beats Muhammad Ali 10 times out of 10.
