Travis Henry’s Baby Mama Drama

According to the PostChonicle, Former NFL running back Travis Henry is having trouble supporting his 11 kids that all have different mothers.  You read that right.

Henry tried recently to get a judge in Atlanta to lower his monthly payments for one kid to $3,000 a month and is $16,600 behind on support for another in Florida.

“I love all my kids,” he said recently to The Times in a telephone interview. “They’ve got my blood. I’ve got to deal with it (but) I’ve lost everything in this mess I’ve gotten myself into.”The Times said the presiding judge showed little sympathy for Henry’s predicament during a recent hearing and declined his request.

Henry, now only 30, played for the Denver Broncos one season and three teams from 2001-07 and then went to prison on charges of trafficking cocaine.

My suggestion….every NFL rookie should have to visit Travis in jail before they report to camp.   This should help with the bankruptcy, infidelity and arrest rate thats seems to be plaguing the NFL.

FUN FACT – SI Reported that 78% of all NFL players file for Bankruptcy two yours after they are done playing.  Thats MUCH higher than even I thought it was.  I never curse, but darn!

  1. Hey watch your language. This is a very common problem with athletes. I think the NFL has to be the worst because of the non guaranteed contracts and the the constant threat of injury or being replaced by youth. I also think the NFL should run a informational session on Vasectomies because after 3-5 kids these guys should be all set.
